The creation of this blog is part of a total re-vamp of my website, and that was initiated when we came up for air after an explosion of activity in the studio over the summer. So what were we doing? Locally King’s Beach, CA invited us to show at their art walk DeTours, and we made four beautiful fish that can be seen swimming past Plumas Bank until the end of September.
The giant daffodil sculpture for Burning Man took up a lot of time, and figuring out how we were going to transport this 9,000 pound sculpture was also quite a challenge, but the art and the crew survived unscathed, and the awesome feedback we received made the whole adventure totally worthwhile. I already have a super cool idea for next year’s Burning Man piece, so watch this space, and be prepared to be amazed!
