This month was another successful Pumpkin Festival out in Half Moon Bay, where Peter grew up. He tries to make it out every year so that everyone can meet the artist who created the world's largest pumpkin sculpture! He met some amazing people this year, and they all shared their photos with him. He'd love to share those with everyone here! See everyone next year! -Team Peter Hazel

With the help of some adorable children that helped us glaze the poppies, the murals are now in place! Peter was so thrilled to have these go up and be part of the Art in Public Places Program in Sunnyvale. If you happen to see them please take a photo and send it to us!
-Team Peter Hazel Our Throwback Thursday is a little more current, as it was just yesterday the whole studio was working hard on bringing the finishing touches to our Murphy Park Murals. They are being installed this morning, and we hope to have more photos for you next week!
The Great Italian Festival is this weekend, and we have a surprise for you! Have you ever wanted to take your photo next to the giant tomato at our studio, but didn't have time to come all the way out to Verdi? Now it is coming to you! On Saturday the tomato will take a road trip over to the Italian Festival, where it will be there for all your photo ops! Just make sure and tag your photos with #PeterHazelArt so we can see and enjoy them too. Have a great weekend! -Team Peter Hazel
Although these fish look effortless, a LOT of work goes into each one. Each little circle and scale are sculpted and pieced together on the fish. One of our studio artists Jesse, does a lot of this amazing work. He also takes great pictures of his progress, as most of these photos below are his. Follow him on Instagram to see his progress on all our current art. His work is fantastic, and we are very fortunate to have him here helping us out! If you would like to support his steel artwork, please follow him on Facebook at One of a Kind Fabrication.
We are happy to say that some of Peter's fish have swam over to to Lear Theater where they've found a temporary home! These mosaic fish have been a studio favorite for awhile, and now they are entertaining people of TedX Reno! We even have a video below of the install process via one of our artists Jesse. If you have time, please check them out along with other great sculptures that are hanging out in front of the Lear. While the Manta Ray was being worked on, we launched a series of "Fish Eye" lens photos on our Facebook page. In case you missed them there, here they are all in one place! The bottom photo is a bonus shot of the fire feature we weren't able to use on the playa. Enjoy! -Team Peter Hazel
Jane Baldrige spotted our awesome tomatoes in Yountville, CA last week and was nice enough to snap a photo. Thanks Jane!
Peter has returned from Burning Man! This was such an amazing year in terms of art, and we were so proud to be a part of it. We are going to take you through the process in reverse because we know you'd like to see the finished product first! We were featured in the RGJ with a photo, as well as having some amazing Instagramers capture "Fly By." Please check out the gallery below and email us at peter@peterhazel.com if you have any of your own pictures you'd like featured on the page! -Team Peter Hazel |
