This month was another successful Pumpkin Festival out in Half Moon Bay, where Peter grew up. He tries to make it out every year so that everyone can meet the artist who created the world's largest pumpkin sculpture! He met some amazing people this year, and they all shared their photos with him. He'd love to share those with everyone here! See everyone next year! -Team Peter Hazel

With the help of some adorable children that helped us glaze the poppies, the murals are now in place! Peter was so thrilled to have these go up and be part of the Art in Public Places Program in Sunnyvale. If you happen to see them please take a photo and send it to us!
-Team Peter Hazel Our Throwback Thursday is a little more current, as it was just yesterday the whole studio was working hard on bringing the finishing touches to our Murphy Park Murals. They are being installed this morning, and we hope to have more photos for you next week!
The Great Italian Festival is this weekend, and we have a surprise for you! Have you ever wanted to take your photo next to the giant tomato at our studio, but didn't have time to come all the way out to Verdi? Now it is coming to you! On Saturday the tomato will take a road trip over to the Italian Festival, where it will be there for all your photo ops! Just make sure and tag your photos with #PeterHazelArt so we can see and enjoy them too. Have a great weekend! -Team Peter Hazel
Jane Baldrige spotted our awesome tomatoes in Yountville, CA last week and was nice enough to snap a photo. Thanks Jane!
![]() ...Time I started writing down some of the adventures we are having in the studio. Seems to me there is always something going on here that could be of interest to you, my lovely readers and patrons, and this is where you’ll find it. I can’t promise a new blog every week - I have art to make after all - but I will put something down regularly, and I invite you to comment, or ask questions, or even come by the studio if you are passing and do it in person. The creation of this blog is part of a total re-vamp of my website, and that was initiated when we came up for air after an explosion of activity in the studio over the summer. So what were we doing? Locally King’s Beach, CA invited us to show at their art walk DeTours, and we made four beautiful fish that can be seen swimming past Plumas Bank until the end of September. The giant daffodil sculpture for Burning Man took up a lot of time, and figuring out how we were going to transport this 9,000 pound sculpture was also quite a challenge, but the art and the crew survived unscathed, and the awesome feedback we received made the whole adventure totally worthwhile. I already have a super cool idea for next year’s Burning Man piece, so watch this space, and be prepared to be amazed! |
